Welcome to Pete Sipple’s Space
Pete and Radio:
I have fond memories of my days working in broadcast radio. My journey started with Thameside Radio, before moving on to spend some of the best years of my life in a basement at Essex Radio. There then followed a brief spell as Head of Production for Spectrum Radio, then IT Manager for a group of stations. I was at my happiest as a humble technical operator in a basement studio in Southend-on-Sea.
Today: I’m currently working for an Essex-based radiocommunications company, responsible for delivery of robust comms to the rail, air and construction industry. In recent years, I’ve been involved with media training courses (freelance and for a local college), producing and presenting award-winning radio shows. I’m a trustee for a hospital radio station. I’m also very active in the amateur radio community (callsign M0PSX), having formed one of the largest ham radio groups in the UK.
Pete and Tech:
With roots firmly planted in a tech world, after years writing for a popular technology magazine and writing shareware for handheld computers, I was drawn from radio to the world of mobile computing, to work for Psion designing mobile software. In more recent years, I worked as a Project Manager for leading software firms in London.
